While revising my blogs I focused on using an active voice to help connect the ideas with the readings. To make my blogs more interesting, I added additional links, pictures and funny or relevant video clips. In review, I made sure I had enough vivid and colorful detail to describe my surroundings to the reader. In particular, in blog post #2 I had to make sure that the guiding questioned was answered. By taking out any unnecessary words and any irrelevant detail I ensured that the post was more concise.
My favorite blog is definitely the first one of my portfolio. This blog is about a very personal experience that I have each month with my son. My feelings about the community I share with the fellow parents and children are evident in this blog. To have the experience of such a support group feels like a privilege. The scene which is so familiar to me, made the details easy to describe. Considering that this was my first blog post, I surprised even myself that it needed very little revising, unlike my other blog posts that required more thought. This one came together very nicely. I did need to add the quote and the works cited during the revision. Also, I took some pictures during our last hospital stay to add a personal touch. Therefore, I wholeheartedly feel this is the strongest blog post in my portfolio.
