As a writer I have greatly progressed due to these blog posts as well. Just from reading my four blog posts I noticed that with each one my writing greatly increased. I now can easily meet the criteria for an excellent blog post. I learned style strategies such as subordination, concision, and sentence variety. I learned that there are some phrases or words that will strengthen my writing and some that need to be cut out of my writing. Some words or phrases that just simply took up room, for example (the reason this happened is because…). Those phrases can be shortened, for example (this happened because…). I learned how to stay focused on my main point. I used to lose the main idea at the very end of the blog, but now all four of my blogs end with the main idea engraved into the readers mind. My favorite blog post was the final one I did entitled, the battlefield known as the skate park. The reason this was my favorite was because I really put a lot of time into analyzing all the aspects of the skate park. I think it was my best post when it comes to detail, style, and content. The main idea is very clear, and established in the beginning and end. This style of writing has greatly helped me become a better writer. I started out writing below average posts but from the teachings and my revisions, my posts now have exceeded above average. I will continue to use these writings skills to revise all my future writings and make sure they will all be the best they can be.
