Who knew I would fall victim to a cult whose spiritual belief dabbles in the dark arts of semiotic signs. Spiritual, alien Signs that are believe to create a new utopia for the American people. Massik’s divine words of semiotic truths about our universe were first introduced to me by a hippie name Jim Potter who held a platinum genie bottle made in Taiwan. Jim’s animated laugh and playful humor filled the dreamy atmosphere with false hopes of joy as he shared the semiotic biblical truth of life, ideologies past down by the great Solomon God. I mentioned to Jim in my dreams, “Have ever meet your creator?”
Jim replied, “Noooooo.”
I told Jim, “If you have never ever met your creator, then how do you know that semiotic signs are a symbol of truth.”
Jim answered, “I don’t, but the genie in the expensive platinum bottle knows all of life’s creations.”
Suddenly without warning, the dreamy semiotic world gradually faded away into a dark abyss as I returned back into the realm of reality. After awakening from a horrific, strange abstract Picasso dream, I found myself discovering the importance behind Jim’s philosophy about semiotic signs. The genie in the bottle represents elitism. Jim resembles a sales clerk aggressively pushing the notion of conforming to nice shinny objects. Who knew that this spiritual experience would change my view of life, a world that is tented with variations of color of semiotic signs that exist in a public sphere known as America.
Massik the goddess and Solomon the god, biblical book, Signs Bound has educated me about different semiotic symbols such as elitism, masculinity, and stereotype behaviors. For example, in my second blog post, Playing Oceanographer for a Day, I informed my readers of semiotic signs of elitism and conformity that coexist within an oceanography boat field-trip environment. However, Massik and Solomon have helped me to become a better research writer. In my second blog, I found myself writing complete clear sentences and having different sentence variety such as having a balance between subordinating conjunction, transitional expression, and preposition sentences. Most importantly, I also realized that I need to stop being redundant when I write so that my readers understand my ideas. Even thou, there are weaknesses in my sentence structure such being redundant an having minor grammar errors. These weaknesses will help me learn from grammar mistakes and help blossom into a professional research writer by learning from grammar errors.
